Alan Wong MCSP
Alan qualified from Hong Kong Polytechnic University of Physiotherapy in 2005. Having worked in private clinics and in a partnership with a private hospital for years, Alan sharpened his skills in managing sports injuries, musculoskeletal, neurological and respiratory conditions. He developed his interest in manual therapy, and completed his master’s degree in Manipulative Physiotherapy in 2011.
In addition to manual therapy, Alan incorporates acupuncture, diagnostic ultrasound imaging and Kinesio taping to his treatment methodology.
Alan has been actively involved in pitch-side physiotherapy support for professional sports teams since he qualified in 2005. Having been the team physiotherapist of the Hong Kong Football National Team (2011-2021) and Hong Kong National Volleyball Team (since 2017-2021), Alan understands the sports injury mechanism thoroughly and is keen to apply his manual techniques to athletes. He has travelled extensively with the football teams and has attended several major tournaments such as World Cup qualifiers, Asian Cup qualifiers (senior, U23 and U19) and EAFF tournament etc.
With his strong background in treating sports injury and excellent technique in manual therapy, Alan hopes that he will be able to serve the local St Albans and surrounding Hertfordshire community with his professional knowledge and skills.
