Matt graduated from St George’s Hospital University of London with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy in 2008, and has worked in private practice ever since.
Prior to becoming a physiotherapist Matt was a qualified personal trainer and sports massage therapist
Matt specialises in outpatient musculoskeletal work and draws on his background in the fitness industry to use corrective exercises, alongside manual therapy, soft tissue work and acupuncture to not just treat pain but to prevent a recurrence by addressing the underlying cause.
Matt’s approach is based around using movement analysis to re-educate faulty movement patterns and return patients to their sports or hobbies as soon as possible. Matt has a broad range of experience treating acute and chronic injuries, and working with patients after orthopaedic surgery. Matt particularly enjoys treating sports injuries, and has a background in rowing, tennis and football himself.
Outside work Matt is a keen Liverpool fan and enjoys getting out into the Hertfordshire countryside to walk his dog with his wife and baby daughter.
